In July 2014, over 100 Cranson Capital Securities clients invested $14.5 million in the Plazacorp-Widmer LP. The project initially centered around the development of a 43-storey condominium tower at 30 Widmer Street. Since then, Plazacorp acquired the adjacent parcel at 8 Widmer Street and successfully integrated it into the overall development.

The project has now been completed. It includes two high-rise towers that anchor the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District. The south tower, known as Theatre District Condos, rises 49 storeys and consists entirely of residential condominiums. The north tower, branded Encore, stands 48 storeys tall and features a dual-purpose design with hotel suites occupying the lower 23 floors and 216 residential condominiums on the upper levels. Plazacorp has completed its agreement with the RIU hotel and sold and delivered a 353-suite hotel.

The successful delivery of both towers marks the completion of a landmark mixed-use development that blends residential living with hospitality in one of Toronto’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Construction is now complete and all of the sold units in the two towers have closed.
